Athena Veatch
Founder & Owner
Raised in the foothills of Santa Barbara, Athena is a true local. She was homeschooled with her 4 sisters in a yurt on a community ranch and her love of animals flourished at a young age. She's volunteered at almost every animal rescue here in town and still stays as active as she can in the rescuing and rehabilitating of animals. When not working she loves traveling, doing dog sports with her 3 dogs, and writing fantasy novels.
Madeline Handy
Born in Maui, Madeline moved to Carpinteria at 13 and has lived in the Santa Barbara area ever since. She studied Fine Arts at Santa Barbara City College and went on to study Visual Development at the Academy of Art University. Madeline’s two passions in life are art and animals. As a child, she would tell people that she wanted to be either a veterinarian or an art teacher when she grew up and she is thrilled to be now earning a living by working with animals and creating concept art. Madeline has two dogs of her own named Oscar and Sophie as well as a lovely cat named Niko.
Sara Hernandez
Sara started pet sitting 20 years ago and has been working with Athena and crew for almost 3 years. She has a very rambunctious dog of her own and makes it her mission to give all the pets she works with the same loving care she'd want for him. Her free time is usually spent at one of her teen's activities or with her large extended family, she can also be found reading a good mystery novel in her downtime. She can't wait to meet you and your pet(s)!
Shiloh's Snacks is a locally owned, woman-owned business specializing in limited and single-ingredient dog treats! She makes all the treats by hand and offers a variety of flavors and textures so you're sure to find something your dog loves. She uses only the best ingredients for her snacks and often sells them at local events around Santa Barbara County. All our team is loaded with her snacks, so your pups will get the best snacks when with us!
